He was awarded the 5 Star Professional Designation, which honors outstanding mortgage lending officers via customer service rankings for the past seven years. He has been ranked among the top 1% of originating loan officers nationwide for the past 20 years. He was awarded the 2020 "Mortgage Professional of the Year" by the National Association of Home Builders. He was named to the Mortgage Professional America's prestigious "Hot 100" industry leaders in 2019 and was honored by National Mortgage Professional Magazine's "50 Most Connected Mortgage Leaders" in 2019. He has been ranked in the top 20 in annual loans funded of all mortgage loan officers by National Mortgage News and Scotsman's Guide for the past 18 years. He is best known in the industry for innovating the "mortgage team concept" in 1991.
Michael has specialized in supporting the new home building industry throughout his career and has been a New Jersey Builders Association (NJBA) member for the past 25 years. He has been honored by the NJBA with the prestigious "Chairman's Award" for his contributions to the sales, marketing, and political action committees. He's been elected to the NJBA Associate Hall of Fame and awarded Associate of the Year by NJBA for 2013. He also received the Sales and Marketing Award (SAM) as Associate Sales Manager of the Year by the NJBA. He served as President of the Metro Builders and Contractors Local Association after holding elective office there for the previous five years. Currently, Michael serves as Vice President of Associate affairs at NJBA and is Vice Chairman of the state's political action committee.

Michael has also donated his time by serving as President of the National Kids Construction Club. The NKCC is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating children about in-home safety, introducing them to the construction trade, and raising needed funds and awareness for Morris Habitat for Humanity. He has served as commissioner of basketball for the Livingston NJ in a town recreation league for the past five years and currently serves as a board member of the Livingston NJ Youth Sports Council.

Michael recently launched a new podcast series ("Reasonably Speaking") focusing on housing, finance, market news, and trends.
